Vtg. ORIENT AND FLUME SPIDER/FLOWER PAPERWEIGHT Iridescent Gold Base, 3, 1978

For your consideration is a fascinating , vintage, hand blown, ORIENT AND FLUME paperweight. The background is an iridescent pale gold. In some lights it has a pale blue cast. A black spider appears near the top.

It is heading for a white flower that has orange and gold spots. Golden pulled feather designs that simulate webbing appear on the sides. There is also a swath of green leaves and a stem that is coming from the flower and extends to the base. The piece is signed Orient and Flume, I 269 0,1978. It is 3 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches high.

The paperweight is in great condition without chips or cracks. There are a few scratches on the base which is typical due to the age of the piece.
