Vtg MURANO Fish AQUARIUM Art Glass BLOCK Paperweight SCULPTURE Blue Base

Gorgeous Murano glass aquarium in the style of Barbini Cedenese, not signed. This piece stands on a blue base of glass and is approximately 5" tall x 5.25" across. The base is cobalt blue with "wave" detail around the edges.

This flaw does not go through to the top of the base. Please view the last two photos closely. I showed the crack with light reflecting off of it so you can see it was polished smooth. There is also a very small, sharp edge where the two sides of the clear glass were joined in one of the "wave" details on the side of the piece. This is impossible to photograph, very difficult to see but can be felt.

This does not detract from the piece visually. Six oranges fishes adorn the interior amid seaweed, bubbles and multicolored or sparkling sand. "Murano Made in Italy" sticker is intact.
