Vintage Smyers Studio Art Glass Paperweight Stars Crescent Moon Aurene Blue 1978
VINTAGE SMYERS STUDIO ART GLASS PAPERWEIGHT STARS CRESCENT MOON AURENE BLUE 1978. A beautiful piece of contemporary American hand-made studio art glass in the form of a gorgeous paperweight featuring a "starry night" scene on a cobalt blue background surrounded by "blue aurene clouds", white stars and an orange crescent moon.
It was hand-made by the very talented glass artist Stephen Smyers in 1978. This piece and has been part of my personal collection since the year 2005.
The piece in my photos is the actual piece you will receive. Please be sure to read the "Age and Condition" and "Approximate Dimensions" paragraphs below.
The underside is scratch signed with "Smyers Glass" and "78". I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color. Our store has many unique and interesting items in several different categories from 35 years of our dealing and collecting antiques and collectables. It is in near mint original condition. Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item. There are no chips, flea bites, cracks, hairlines or repairs and only some very light age-related signs of use or wear to the underside where the piece sits. Basically, it looks like new.
Please keep in mind these photos can be blown up at least 8X-10X times normal, so anything you see will look 8X-10X times larger than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece. It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo.
