VINTAGE PERTHSHIRE 1972A PINK DAHLIA LIMITED EDITION PAPERWEIGHT IN BOX

The paperweight was made by Perthshire Paperweights in Crieff and it stands 2 1/4 inches high; measures 2 3/4 inches at the base; weighs 480 grams and it comes complete with its original Perthshire Paperweights box. This paperweight is from the Perthshire Paperweights annual collection - made only in 1972. It is the Pink Dahlia 1972A and it was made in a limited edition production size of only 200 paperweights.

The dahlia consists of four layers of pink pointed lampwork petals with a pink and white millefiori cane in the centre. The paperweight appears to be square due to the unusual faceting of a top facet and four side facets. Set into the base you can see the Perthshire Paperweights signature "P" cane together with the date "1972". The condition of the paperweight is good with no splits, cracks, dents, "dings", damage or scratches. For accuracy in my description I will point out a very, very, tiny "fleabite" to the rim of a side facet - you need a strong eye glass to see this but it does not detract in any way.

Please excuse any photo flashes or reflections. The box is intact although there is a small dent to one edge but nothing too serious. This lovely striking Perthshire Pink Dahlia paperweight, made only in 1972 in a limited edition size of only 200, would make an ideal gift or a great addition to any collection.
