3-1/8" diameter & 2-3/8" tall. Excellent, with a few very minor marks to the upper surface and minor shelf wear to the concave polished base. Please see photos and let us know if you need any additional assistance. The lampwork dragonfly is the rarest and most sought after of early Chinese paperweights, with there being no more than 5 known examples. This is a particularly nice specimen with the dragonfly being well positioned, hovering over a scramble ground of partial and whole millefiori cane sections and specks of aventurine.
The dragonfly has a crimped body with stripes of yellow, orange and aventurine, translucent white wings bordered in the front by thin rust colored lines, and two large eyes on the head. Simply a "must have" for any advanced collection of early 20th century Chinese paperweights. International Buyers - Please Note.
