SUPERB Perthshire Millefiori Closepack paperweight, limited edition 1973

Here is a stunning and early Perthshire Millefiori Closepack paperweight with myriad of superb complex canes. It dates to 1973 and was made in a limited edition of 400 which was cloised at at 378. There is a date and signature cane hidden within as shown. There are around 200 canes in the weight give or take a few.

Set against a purple ground, with polished pontil mark to the base. The canes around the edge stretch slightly downwards to form a kind of basket.

This is a medium sized paperweight by Perthshire's standards, as it is 2.75 diameter and it weighs 419 grammes. Excellent condition with no chips cracks fleabites or scratches.
