Striking CORREIA DEEP AURENE BLUE SNAKE PAPERWEIGHT 3.5, Signed, Numbered, 2002

For your consideration is an amazing studio art glass paperweight done by Correia. It is approximately 3 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches tall. An aurene blue colored, applied glass, snake is coiled around the top. In most lights you can see a purple cast. The red forked tongue and eyes are also applied. The paperweight is a mottled, golden champagne color. It is iridescent and in some lights you can see magenta, blue, teal and gold. This is signed Correia with the initials AG and the date 2002. There are no chips or cracks. A few minor scratches appear on the base where it rests. A couple of scuffs are on the snake(nothing major) and a slight line shows on the surface that was done during the glass blowing process. Only pointing this out to be accurate in my description.

It is a very unusual piece and hard to find. I have other Correia snake paperweights listed.
