This listing includes six paperweight doorknobs shown in the pictures and described in the title. One glass weight is separated from the hardware and needs to be cemented back together.
The condition is the best a collector could want. NO CHIPS CRACKS OR REPAIRS. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AT MY LISTINGS! I have been instructed by educated collectors that there is no such thing as a "mint" piece of Meissen. So to that I will add this piece is not mint. Somewhere within the construction there is a flaw. Maybe a flower petal edge is not fully formed, or some spot of missed glaze. There may be a microscopic flake on a glazed edge somewhere. So I will back off the mint condition, and say 98% complete. If you enlarge the pictures you will get a great idea of the fine original condition. I WAS TOLD THESE ARE SWEETBRIAR WEIGHTS MADE BY PETER MCDOUGALL-EVEN BETTER!
Each knob is similar in size, but because they are all hand blown there will be slight size differences overall, by a mm or so. Not noticeable to the naked eye though. Dia: 1.75, Each glass knob has a thickness of approx. 1.25", but when you include the hardware, that measures to about 2 1/8". It comes out 2 1/8 from the door. One of the glass knobs needs to be re-attached to the aluminum or zinc? Mounting piece, and it appears the glue used for the other knobs is silicone. The female thread size looks to be 1/8. Nice to find a set of six matching. The item "Set of 6 Fine Vintage Paperweight Doorknobs Millefiori Perthshire" is in sale since Friday, December 30, 2016.
