Perthshire PP32 1985 LE Letter "Q" Small Ruby Paperweight EC 10 Facets. The Rarest of the PP32 Series to find! It is referred to as PP32 and is approximately 2 inches in diameter. The PP32 Perthshires are a limited edition series produced with a different design for each year beginning in 1978 and continuing through 1986. Each year was given an alphabet letter as the center of its complex central cane, ranging from J in 1978 to R in 1986. The letter acted as its Perthshire date cane. Each design is very different from the others. In 1985, Perthshire produced a design with a complex closepack central cane with the letter "Q" in its center, surrounded by a garland and circlets with additional complex canes as their centers.

The ground color is a lovely ruby transparent red. The letter Q paperweight has always been the most difficult to find in the series of 9 weights.

There are a total of 9 side facets and one large top facet which nicely magnifies the pattern as my photos illustrate. It is unknown how many paperweights were made of this limited edition series in each of these years. This paperweight is in excellent condition.
