(Circa Pre 1900) It has Truly Gorgeous Colors on this Umbrella and much better when seen in person. On the Globe Portion I only see 2 tiny flea bites. And a few light scratches. One of the scratches is about 2 inches long but starts and stops a few times during the length of the 2 inches.
The few scratches are so fine I could not get a picture. I see a tiny flea bite on the lip of the shot glass and a small ding on the lip as well and I marked both of those items I just mention with Black arrows on picture number 4. It shows heavy shelf ware on the Pontil bottom and this Dazzling SHOT GLASS Measures 3 1/4" Diameter by 5 1/2" Tall and weights just over 2 pounds by itself. These Antique Shot Glasses with Rainbow Umbrella are VERY RARE.I have only seen 2 of them and presently I own both of them. I consider Beautiful SHOT GLASS to be a Very Good Display Piece. After His passing, his collection was on loan (for approximately 3 years from 2006 to 2009) to the Museum of American Glass (Wheaton Village) in Millville, NJ, which is now known as Wheaton Village Arts and Cultural Center.
Gaskills highly regarded and very extensive Art Glass Paperweight Collection was on display in their most prominent area of the Museum at that time. Just prior to being put on display at the Museum, Lawrence Selman of the Renown L. Selman was commissioned to do an appraisal of the entire collection. Selman is known worldwide for his expertise in the field of Art Glass Paperweights and in 2001, Selman was awarded the honor of being named by the Paperweight Collectors Association, one of the Top Ten People of the 20.
