HEINZ Pickling Pittsburgh adv PAPERWEIGHT pat'd 1882. HEINZ- KEYSTONE PICKLING AND PRESERVING WORKS-PITTSBURGH, PA. THIS EARLY PAPERWEIGHT WAS INVENTED AND PATENTED IN 1882 BY WILLIAM H. MAXWELL AND WAS MADE WITH A THIN MILK WHITE SHEET OF GLASS LITHOGRAPHED WITH THE ADVERTISNG OR LOGO, THEN ENCASED AND MOLDED OF SOLID MOLTEN GLASS. MARKED UNDER THE GLASS ON THE BOTTOM: PAT'D.

5th 1882- BROWN MAXWELL & CO. LOGO SHOWS A KEYSTONE EMBLEM WITH A SKELETON KEY CROSSED IN FRONT OF IT, SURRONDED BY F.

PINK COLOR WAS ADDED AROUND THE EDGE ON TOP OF THE WHITE GLASS. THIS IS POSSIBLY ONE OF THE NICEST HEINZ COLLECTABLES YOU'LL SEE, MAYBE THE ONLY ONE!!!

THIS RARE 134 YEAR OLD DOMED PAPERWEIGHT IS IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH VERY LIGHT SURFACE SCRATCHES FOUND ON PAPERWEIGHTS OF THIS AGE. SOME TINY BUBBLES IN THE MAKING. MEASURES 3 1/4 IN DIAMETER. This item is being offered with no reserve.
