Perthshire Paperweight 1976B Butterfly in Clear Crystal with Blue and White Overlay, Limited Edition from Perthshire's Elite Annual Alphabet Series of Weights. Comes with its Certificate of Authenticity #335, Original Green Presentation Box, and Perthshire Paper Label on Base.
It is referred to as 1976B and is considered a miniature, being approximately 2 inches in diameter. It is a butterfly enclosed in shimmering crystal, overlaid by white and blue in an extremely unusual curved cut pattern, unlike other more traditional overlay designs.
The colors seem to swirl about the globe allowing the butterfly to nest centrally within. This 1976B edition was produced in three overlay colors, blue, green and red. Condition of this paperweight is excellent and it will come in its original dark green Perthshire presentation box. It is from a very limited edition since only 488 total were made, and it is unclear how many exist in each of the three colors. Its COA #335 will also be included.
