Perthshire 1972 PP13 Scattered Millefiori Canes on Lace over Amethyst Ground

The proceeds from this sale will go to the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass. From 1969 through 1977 Perthshire made a series of scattered millefiori paperweights designated as PP12 and PP13. The only way to tell which are PP12s and which are PP13s is to compare the date with the colored under layer. This one is dated 1972 and is over an Amethyst under layer so it is a PP13 (see pages 85 and 86 of The Complete Guide to Perthshire Paperweights by Mahoney/McClanahan). Scattered millefiori canes including picture canes of a Dancing Girl and a Goat rest on a White lace over translucent Amethyst ground.

The paperweight is 2-11/16" in diameter and 1-7.8" high. The weight is signed with a "P1972" cane in the design.
