Paul Ysart spoke and millefiori glass paperweight / presse papiers

Paul Ysart paperweight : 74 mm / 2 15/16 inch diameter. Description: Lovely millefiori cane and twist spoke paperweight with translucent green ground, made in Scotland by Paul Ysart. The millefiori canes are set in a wheel pattern at the centre, with an outer garland of alternating large and small canes separated by yellow twists and aventurine centred twists. Typical fire polished, slightly recessed base with snapped off'sugary' pontil mark.

There are fine radial lines and some tiny fractures around the pontil mark. Size : diameter 2 15/16 inch / 74 mm; height 1 13/16 inch / 46 mm.

C ondition : very good; no chips, bruises, or scratches other than a few marks on the base. Please remember this is not a brand new item - it is at least 50 years old, and you may be able to find minuscule marks if you search using a magnifying glass. USA and most other places.
