Oiva Toikka Nuutajarvi Art Glass Paperweight, 1982 Ltd Edition, Finland

This is a gorgeous limited edition paperweight by Nuutajarvi glassmakers and is designed by Oiva Tikka. There is a tiny, tiny bit of very, very light scratching on the bottom, but otherwise it is in flawless conditon with no chips or cracks. It is kind of hard to get a really good picture to show how beautiful it is. The design inside the paperweight looks like a silver urn, but it's not really sliver, it is glass and just the reflection makes it look silver.

It is sitting on what looks like a swirled pottery vase and the underside looks like tortoise shell, but, of course, this is all done in glass. It is, again, kind of hard to describe, but it is so, so pretty. It is 3" tall, 3-1/4" long, and 2-5/8 wide.

It is signed "Oiva Tikka" and numbered "477/2000" across the side bottom, and inscribed "Nuutajarvi 1982" at the top of the same side. Foil label says Nuutajarvi 1793 Wartsila Finland.
