JOSH SIMPSON INHABITED PLANET SPHERE Blues, Multi, Spaceship, 1 7/8,1997, Stand
For your consideration is a lovely, Josh Simpson, art glass paperweight/sphere. It measures approximately 1 7/8 inches in diameter. There is a twisted cane spaceship that is close to the top. It appears to be orbiting the planet. Multi colored patches appear on the surface that look like anemones and landforms. Soft tones of pink, coral and aqua appear along with sparkling gold and blue sections. Isolated bubbles add to the drama of this piece. This sphere is from Simpson's "inhabited planet" series. It is a very fascinating creation and fun to study. The sphere is in good condition without cracks or chips. The bottom reads: JS 97.
Its an amazing piece and would be a great addition to your signed art glass collection. A 2 1/2 inch acrylic stand is included.
