Made in Kagoshima, Japan circa 2015. Dimensions - 2.28 diameter. Included Accessories - Wooden stand.
A masterpiece of intricacy, that took weeks of painstaking effort blowing, carving, and espeically masking/plating the surface of the marble. Multi-layered optical effect using multiple colors of dichro, UV reactive glass, sandblasting, and colored silver leaf. Colored silver leaf used in this piece is a special material produced only in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, with over 400 years of history in traditional Japanese art culture. Two colors of sparkly dichroic particles used on each sides: green and yellow for the "Sun" side, purple and blue for the "Moon" side, total of four colors. The entire marble glows vibrantly in UV light, giving a completely different appearance to the pattern on the surface.
One of the most intricate examples of carved patterns on a borosilicate marble, if not the most. Visit the Timeless Glass Gallery website for more heady glass art, bongs, rigs, and pipes!
