Grand Coliseum Ruins by Ken Spider Schneidereit

This grand murrina was a surprising piece from the second punty cane end. Kens mosaic cylinder was preheated and picked up from the kiln with the first punty/maria and heated for pulling. When ready, the second punty was added and its maria really grabbed onto the core of the mosaic image being the Coliseum. This piece highlights all the detail and coloring that went into rendering the Coliseum. For more than 2000 years, glass makers have produced miniature pictures by assembling and fusing glass known as murrine. Size: 2-3/4 x 2-1/2 x ¼. This murrina is presented in a gem box and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
