Early Paul Ysart Paperweight Roundel Pattern
Being offered here is a Paul Ysart roundel pattern paperweight set on a mottled translucent blue ground attributed to the pre-1940 Moncrieff period. 5 millefiori circlets surround a white complex millefiori cane 3 of them (blue, orange & mauve) are composed of complex canes; the other 2 are white/green cogs & white/red corrugated canes 5 corrugated canes are spaced around the perimeter. Slightly concave, fire-polished base; rough pontil mark. Strong purple tint to the glass. Top condition: no cracks, chips, bruises or fleabites (a couple of tiny bubbles in the dome and age-related wear around the base) Measurements: D: 75mm (2 15/16"); H: 54mm (2 1/8").
