Antique French Clichy millefiori glass paperweight 7 roses / presse papiers

Clichy mini millefiori paperweight : 45 mm / 1 3/4 inch diameter. 7 white / pink roses.

Description: Lovely antique French paperweight from the famous Clichy factory, made in the classic period 1845 - 1860. The millefiori canes are set in clear glass, and include a ring of seven white / pink rose canes. Although it may appear to have a tiny'C' cane at the centre, I think this is fortuitous: it does not look like one of their signature canes. Concave polished base with narrow wear rim. Size : diameter 1 3/4 inch / 45 mm; height 1 1/2 inch / 37 mm.

Condition : very good; no chips, bruises, or scratches. Please remember this is not a brand new item - it is at least 160 years old, and so you may be able to find minuscule marks if you search using a magnifying glass.
