Perthshire Paperweight 1978A Gorgeous Millefiori Pattern Paperweight With Floral Cane Center Limited Edition from Their Yearly HIgh End Alphabet Series. It is approximately 3 inches in diameter. It is a gorgeous millefiori pattern that Perthshire introduced in 1978.

There is one central cane which is surrounded by eight tightly packed petal shaped canes and two rings of elaborate millefiori canes on a lovely cobalt blue ground. The cane colors were carefully chosen to contrast beautifully with the translucent color base. There is one perfect top facet which is sized to totally magnify the pattern within. There is the Perthshire 1978 date cane on the base. Condition of this weight is excellent.

The edition size of this paperweight was 350, but only 292 were actually made. Since the base colors vary, identical versions of this paperweight are even more limited.
