UNIQUE MILLEFIORI & LAMPWORK FLORAL PATTERN - MAGNUM SIZE PAPERWEIGHT by MIROSLAW TUREK Signed M. This is unique, one of a kind experimental paperweight made by second Polish artist in 2004. He started to experiment with millefiori paperweights inspired by works of Tomasz Gondek and 19th c. Silesian masters from Josephinenhutte, Carlsthal and Hoffnungsthal glassworks. Ignition to both artists works was given by paperweights exhibition in Karkonoskie Museum in Jelenia Gora, 2002 and the book Glass Paperweights. The Heritage of the 19th Century Riesengebirge and Isergebirge Glassworks. T hen t hey started their experiments during breaks, working in Julia Glassworks in Piechowice (former Fritz Heckert's glassworks in Petersdorf).

Shortly after he discontinued making paperweights and left glassworks changing his professional occupation. All his paperweights were kept hidden to the public for several years, and just couple years ago I discovered his works.
