PERTHSHIRE 1982D Star Pattern Millefiori L/E

The factory designation for this weight is 1982D. Three rings of tiny COMPLEX millefiori canes surround a center Signature "P" cane in this 1982 Annual Edition paperweight from Perthshire. Radiating out from the concentric pattern are eight "Star Points", each made from single color closepacked complex canes, to form a Star Design. The paperweight has one top facet and all-over side "honey-comb" facets set in three rows. A broad Fan cut in the base completes the design. The weight is 2-1/4" in diameter and 1-9/16" high and is signed with the signature "P" cane at the center of the design. The edition was limited to not more than 300 pieces worldwide, however only 237 were actually made. (See page 37 of "The Complete Guide to Perthshire Paperweights" by Mahoney/McClanahan).
