PERTHSHIRE 1981E Acorns L/E

A branch with two acorns and oak leaves rests on a white Spiral latticinio cushion in this fancy cut 1981 paperweight from Perthshire. Perthshire's designation is 1981E.

The weight is 2-11/16" in diameter and 2-1/8" high and is signed with a "P1981" cane in the base. It is cut with one top facet, eight large elongated lower side facets, and a ring of eight larger and sixteen smaller upper side facets. Although the edition size was not more than 300 pieces, only 236 were ever made. (See page 35 of "The Complete Guide to Perthshire Paperweights" by Mahoney/McClanahan).
