JOSH SIMPSON INHABITED PLANET PAPERWEIGHT Blue/Multi, 2 Orbiting Objects, 3,2005

For your consideration is an unusual, Josh Simpson, art glass paperweight. Two flower-like satellites are orbiting around the planet. It measures 3 inches in diameter and stands just a little over 2 3/4 inches tall. Multi colored patches and shapes appear on the surface that look like large anemones, fanned canes and landforms.

Multi sized bubbles add to the drama of this piece. A few patches of sparkling gold iridescence can also be seen. This paperweight is from Simpson's "inhabited planet" series. The piece is in good condition without cracks, scratches or chips.

The flat bottom reads: Simpson, 6.177.05 Its a fabulous planet and would be a wonderful addition to your signed art glass collection. 3 small acrylic pads have been applied to the base of the paperweight to retard scratching of surfaces.
