Jon Kuhn / Paul Stankard Paperweight

Jon Kuhn / Paul Stankard. S: 3" square x 3 1/2" tall. This is one of two paperweights made at Kuhn Studio one for Jon Kuhn and one for his Studio Manager James Baldwin. The delicate flower was made by Paul Stankard and Jon Kuhn did the casing around the flower. Jon Kuhn and Paul Stankard were doing collaborative work and Jon Kuhn called them "StanKuhns". The prices for the large sculptures when into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. This flower was one that was left over and so it was used to make this paperweight. Because it was a gift it was never signed by Jon Kuhn. It does not have the unique miniature signature of Paul Stankard on the flower because it was cut off of one of his larger pieces.

The piece will come with a "certificate authenticity" verifying it was produced by Jon Kuhn at Kuhn Studio and telling the story of why it was made. The letter is written by the Studio Manager at the time it was made, James Baldwin, whom it was gifted too. The letter is signed by Mr Baldwin and is on a Kuhn Studio Letterhead.
