John Deacon and Willie Mason Collaborative Butterfly Art Glass Paperweight

The collaborative lampwork effort by two well known Scottish glass artists, John Deacons and Willie Manson, has resulted in the creation of this awesome paperweight. The purple and green colors of the butterfly are enhanced with aventurine and gold speckles on the outer rim of the wings of the butterfly. When you gaze through the deep clear glass dome, you are first attracted to the butterfly as it sits on a vibrant lemon yellow circle platform.

Beneath that platform, the artists designed a latticino swirl circle in a luscious mint green outlined on white. The paperweight is then encircled with alternating blue and green millefiori canes. The paperweight, which is in perfect condition, is about 2 3/4" in diameter with a height of about 2".

On the base of the paperweight are the individual canes of each artist as well as a sticker from John Deacons' studio. Additionally, the following numerical information is provided, S22 7/25.
