Jim DONOFRIO Spirit Flowers

Provenance: The Beverly Schindler Collection. Jim Donofrio is acknowledged as one of the best Lampwork Paperweight makers in the world.

This is one of his excellent weights from 1991. It features a flowering plant with a Red flower and a branching stem with Red buds, all on the top end of a long thin stem with curling tendrils at the bottom. Two "Spirit" faces extend downward from the stem as the "roots" that give the name "Spirit Flower" to the plant. The weight is 3-1/4" in diameter and 1-13/16" high, and is signed Jim Donofrio.
